On September 6, 2011, the Lake Don Pedro community welcomed the opening of the Golden Lakes Charter School. Golden Lakes Charter School is Lake Don Pedro’s first locally governed school and offers classes for Kindergarten through twelfth grades. Golden Lakes Charter School offers a Core Knowledge® curriculum and a standard of education that will gain students entrance into any college, university, or trade school in California.
